February 2012 Photos of the Week

Week #8

This week’s photos represent history. We went for a drive around Whidbey Island today and found our way to Fort Ebby State Park. We certainly didn’t expect to see a well preserved piece of WWII history.

Week #7

I’m not sure why, but the photo of the flag really speaks to me. It was taken outside a fire station right after sunset.

The swans we saw were amazing. I had no idea that swans (in huge quantities) migrated through this area. WOW!

The last photo is a Madrone tree. I understand (from my friend) that they only grown on the west coast and they are nearly impossible to transplant. This particular photo almost looks like skin with veins.
