As we crossed the Cook Strait from Wellington to Picton, I was reminded of Alaska. Specifically, I was reminded of the Alaska Marine Highway as it winds through Southeast Alaska. We were blessed with bright blue skies and just a few white puffy clouds.
To start the trip we were given boarding passes. The instructions on mine made me chuckle.
I bet they get lots of comments. Can you believe people actually swim across Cook Strait? Doesn’t look like something I want to do.
That’s just insane!
