My Dad first met Terry on Front Street on Caye Caulker (Belize) where he sets up his grill every day for lunch, but Terry also has a more permanent location on the backside of Caye Caulker. It’s not often I’m able to find really good food and great prices. Terry has both. A grilled lobster with rice and beans, salad (potato, coleslaw, pasta), and sometimes fried plantains costs $25 Belize ($12.50 US). We knew the lobster was fresh because the other night we saw the fishermen fishing off shore and then carrying the lobster directly to Terry’s. He also cooks great chicken meals like garlic and chili, jerk, and barbeque along with fish and shrimp. All of those cost much less than the lobster. I paid $10 US for my chicken and that included a bottle of water.
To top it off, Terry’s has one of the best sunset views on Caye Caulker and because the winds were coming from the southeast a lot while we were there his place on the west side of the island was a calm reprieve. I can’t even count how many meals we ate at Terry’s. His place will be on the top of my list the next time I’m on Caye Caulker.
You will be happy to know I ate here tonight and it’s just as good as you described it!
I’m so glad to hear you tried it and love it. I’ll be back in November and Terry’s will be one of my first stops for both the food and the sunset.
I love the sailboat px! I will have to eat there next time.
You should enter Stars After Dark in a photo contest. It’s beautiful!
Thank you Barb…I’m very proud of it and really surprised that I was able to make it happen. So glad I found the missing piece to my tripod so that photos like this are possible.
