This week’s #FriFotos theme on Twitter is SOUVENIRS.
I used to collect thimbles when I traveled. I wasn’t exactly fond of them, but a friend started my collection for me and I kept it going for a while. I always longed for something that didn’t take up much room and was more “authentic”.
I met a gal from New Zealand while visiting Peru. She had a charm necklace and would add a small charm from every place she visited. I loved the idea, but I wanted something a bit different.
Since I had also accumulated coins from all my destinations, I’ve decided to make a trinket out of all of them. I haven’t decided exactly how I’m going to implement it or what it will look like, but I have some ideas and am hoping to get some help from my dad when he gets her next week. Once its complete, I’ll share some photos.
For now, I’ll share some photos of my thimbles.
