Lobster, Lobster, Every Where

We ate a lot of lobster during our recent visit to Belize.  All of it was really good…some of it was great.  I’ve listed them below in order of our favorites, but honestly none of them deserved last place.  I thought I would share it with you (sure wish you could taste via the internet)…you’ll just have to take my word for it.  Lobster season ends in just a couple of days…if you are in Belize…hurry and eat as much as you can or you’ll have to wait until mid-June.

#1 – Grilled Lobster at Rose’s Grill and Bar on Caye Caulker

Menu was a table full of lobster to choose from.  It was served with steamed vegetables, garlic potatoes (awesome), and a garlic bread appetizer.

#2 – Lobster Rangoon at Fido’s in San Pedro Town

Since I didn’t know, here is what a lobster rangoon is…lobster and cream cheese in a wonton.  It was served with julienned carrots and jalapenos.

#3 – Lobster Nachos at Sobre Las Ola’s on Caye Caulker

I know what you are thinking…lobster nachos?  But, be open minded…they were so good.

#5 – Lobster Tail in Parmesan Cheese Sauce at Tropical Paradise on Caye Caulker

Served with creamy pasta and garlic bread.  We also ordered a salad so we could share.  It was plenty for two given that it included two lobster tails.

    • Carmen – I’m so glad you enjoyed my recommendation. I’ll be there soon (November). I think Rose’s will be one of my first stops. Can’t wait.
