Of all the unique animals I got to see in the Galapagos one of the most surprising was flamingos. I had never heard there were flamingos there. I guess their awesomeness is dwarfed by giant land tortoises, blue footed boobies, and penguins. Regardless, I was pleasantly surprised. Their soft, yet vibrant, pink color really stood out against the murky water.
